Where can drivers find the Booking.com Driver App after setup? (Save to home screen)

To easily access the Driver app after setting it up, drivers should bookmark the webpage in your chosen browser, or create an app shortcut. We highly recommend doing this, rather than returning through the original activation SMS link.

In case your driver hasn’t bookmarked the APP on their mobile, you can share it the Driver App link with them: https://driver.rideways.com/

Please Note: Booking.com APP is a web app, you will not find it in the IOS/Android APP store.

For all activated Drivers, please follow the below steps. (If you see below the Driver name the link 'Resend Activation SMS', please make sure to resend the SMS and have your Driver to follow this video guide)

iPhone users

Safari browser:

1. Open https://driver.rideways.com/ in Safari and Tap on the icon featuring an arrow coming out of a box along the bottom of the Safari window.
2. Select Add to Home screen.
3. Name your shortcut e.g. "Booking.com Driver app"
4. Select 'Add'
5. It should now appear on your Home Screen

Chrome browser:

1. On your iPhone, open Shortcuts from Home Screen or App Library.
2. Tap on the + icon
3. Tap Add Action.
4. Select Apps instead of Categories.
5. Tap Chrome and select Open URLs in Chrome.
6. Tap on the URL section
7. Paste https://driver.rideways.com/
8. Tap on the blue configuration icon at the top right corner, next to the X icon.
9. Tap Add to Home Screen.
10. Name the newly-created shortcut and tap Add.

Android users

Option 1

1. When you go to the Driver App click the pop up at the bottom of the screen “Add Booking.com driver app to home screen”. 

(If this pop up doesn’t appear then try option 2)

Option 2

1. Open https://driver.rideways.com/ in Chrome and tap on the 3-dots menu in the top right corner and select Add to Home screen.
2. Tap Add.
3. Tap Add once more and it should appear on your Home Screen.

For Samsung Browser, Open https://driver.rideways.com/  and tap on the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, select '+ Add to Page to' then select 'Home screen'

(If this pop up doesn’t appear then try option 3)

Option 3

• Go to settings
• Select “Apps”
• Select “Default Apps”

• Select “Home screen” or “Home APP”
• Choose the home screen you want to use

• Open the driver app again
• Click the pop up at the bottom of the screen “Add Booking.com driver app to home screen”. 
• 

Next time you want to access the driver app, simply click on the icon on your home screen. This will take you to the Driver app login screen. To log in, enter the phone number the app is registered to and the 6 digit passcode you created before.
